Cuttputlli movie poster

Cuttputlli is a 2022 psychological-crime thriller film. It stars Akshay Kumar, Rakul Preet Singh, Sargun Mehta, Joshua LeClair, and Chandrachur Singh in lead roles. This movie is a remake of the 2018 Tamil movie Ratsasan. Check out 5 jaw-dropping and spectacular reasons to watch Cuttputlli.

1. Akshay Kumar as SI Arjan Singh

We know Akshay Kumar always takes up challenging roles in his career. Being a mega-star, he is curious about everything in this film. He is intelligent and witty like an inspector should be. He has the quality of making someone laugh and shocked within seconds.

2. Sargun Mehta as SHO

Sargun is a superstar in the Punjabi industry, and finally she has also marked her territory in Bollywood. Her role as an SHO is confident and strong. I loved the fact that her role is as a senior to Akshay. She is mind-blowing and bossy in a good way. I loved her attitude in the film.

3. Many twists and turns

This movie had many twists and turns in the most unexpected way. You would not be able to guess the killer till the end. That is the best part of the movie. The script and direction are such that you would not be able to know what’s happening and what is the actual story. It is gripping, and this has made me sit through the entire movie.

4. The concept and duration of the film

The concept was fantastic. The makers have done a wonderful job in recreating this movie. Few people have the strategy to make us sit through the movie and they did it. The movie was also not that long and I loved every bit of thriller they had to offer.

What could be better:

 1. More screen time for Rakul Preet Singh

Rakul’s role was not that impactful in the film. I thought her role was very less and the makers could have given her a better script. She is very talented and could have done a fantastic job if her role was different.

2. The songs in the movie

The songs could have been better in the film or the makers could have avoided putting songs in the movie. Because when a thriller movie has songs it loses the essence of what they’re trying to portray.

3. The end of the film

The end of the film could have been more related to the characters. Though the end was good and gripping but it could have been a lot better.

Conclusion

The verdict of Cuttputlli is 4/5. Do watch it if you love psychological crime thriller movies. Cuttputlli is available on Disney+ Hotstar.
